Peter Prinsley
MP for Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket
Peter was an NHS surgeon in East Anglia for forty years, bringing decades of frontline experience in healthcare to his work in Parliament. He retired from medicine to focus on his parliamentary commitments and is a trustee and former chair of the Norfolk Deaf Association.
First elected as MP for Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket in July 2024, Peter's priorities include improving health outcomes, dentistry, social care and palliative care, cutting NHS waiting times, and ensuring rural communities have access to the services and opportunities they need.
His wider interests include rural affairs, transport, equality and protecting our rivers and chalk streams.
